MIAMI MUSIC WEEK GUIDE
MMW IS THE WEEK. ULTRA IS THE OCCASION.
Miami Music Week is not Ultra. Ultra is three days at Bayfront Park. MMW is hundreds of events across an entire city for five to seven days — pool parties, warehouse nights, label showcases, underground club nights, boat parties, and the informal gatherings that follow all of it.

HOW THE WEEK ACTUALLY WORKS.
MMW runs the week surrounding Ultra — typically starting the Monday or Tuesday before the main festival weekend. The schedule isn't published anywhere in full. It assembles across promoter Instagram pages, RA Miami listings, Shotgun, and word of mouth. Finding what you want to see is itself a skill.
The week runs in three rough phases:
EARLY WEEK (MON–WED)
Smaller events, more intimate, often free or low-cost. Local promoters run their best nights because the visiting crowd has arrived but Ultra tickets aren't being consumed. This is when the serious underground stuff happens — the people who come for the week, not the festival.
MID-WEEK (THU–FRI)
Bigger label showcases and pool parties peak here. Pool parties are the social daytime events. Nighttime gets bigger as the weekend approaches. Club Space and Treehouse begin running extended bookings.
ULTRA WEEKEND (SAT–SUN+)
Ultra runs. Club Space's 24-hour license means true afterparties running into Sunday afternoon and beyond. The underground crowd that skips Ultra entirely shows up here — the best satellite events of the weekend are the ones not associated with the festival.

RESIDENT ADVISOR
The authoritative source for underground MMW events. RA Miami has local and independent listings that don't appear in mainstream MMW guides. Most serious electronic music events in the city list here. Filter by date range for MMW week.
SHOTGUN
Miami's local event discovery platform. Surfaces events from local promoters and collectives that are sometimes too small or too last-minute for RA. Check daily during MMW week — new events appear constantly.
Follow: Club Space, Treehouse Miami, Domicile, Boombox, Electric Pickle alumni, local Miami promoters and label accounts. Events surface here 2-7 days out. This is where the underground stuff announces.
YOUR NETWORK
The best MMW events aren't always announced publicly. Some are invite-only or only visible through knowing the right people. If you know people in the Miami scene, ask. If you don't, the events above will surface most of what's findable.
HOW TO PACE A FULL WEEK.
Most people who attend MMW for the first time over-schedule, flame out by Wednesday, and spend the actual Ultra weekend recovering. Don't do that.
PICK 2-3 NON-NEGOTIABLES
The events you will regret missing. Everything else is optional. When something comes up on the night, you have room to say yes or no — not an obligation to attend everything.
TREAT DAYTIME AS RECOVERY
Pool parties are social and fun. They're also another 4 hours of sun, music, and activity. Decide whether a pool party is recovery or another event. They can't be both.
SLEEP OVER FOMO
A well-rested Wednesday night is worth 3 exhausted Thursday nights. Sleep deprivation compounds across MMW week in a way that makes the later events worse, not better. One night in bed early is an investment, not a loss.
HYDRATE CONTINUOUSLY
Not just at events. All day, every day. Electrolytes in the morning before anything else. Water through the day. By the time you're arriving at a night's event, you should already be hydrated — not starting from empty.
EAT REAL FOOD EVERY DAY
Non-negotiable over five days. Blood sugar management across a week of late nights and activity determines how you feel at the end more than almost anything else. Eat meals, not just snacks between events.

What is Miami Music Week?
The week of independent electronic music events surrounding Ultra Music Festival in late March. While Ultra occupies Bayfront Park for three days, MMW encompasses hundreds of independent parties, pool events, warehouse nights, and club events across Miami. Often more interesting to underground fans than Ultra itself.
How is Miami Music Week different from Ultra?
Ultra is the ticketed main festival — three days at Bayfront Park. MMW is the whole ecosystem of independent events that week. The most interesting underground events happen outside Ultra, during MMW, and they're often more accessible and more music-focused.
Where do you find Miami Music Week events?
Resident Advisor Miami for underground listings, Shotgun for local events, Instagram for last-minute announcements from local promoters and venues. Many of the best MMW events don't appear anywhere until days before.
